"Birthday" Scrapbook layout + process video by Louise

 Hi Crafters

Louise with you today.
I'd like to share a new layout.

"Birthday"

I seriously adore this collection ...

I decided to use the collection for a Birthday layout, I'm also going to show you how to use it in an ordinary boy layout for my next project.

I combined the collection with the Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and the packaging technique.

I've also included some of the new Rug Mesh in my background layers.

Here is the process video if you'd like to watch how I completed this page.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Crafting.

Set of cards

Hi, it's Ann here today with a set of cards that could make a pretty little gift for someone who loves to send cards for every occasion.

I was really taken with the little Mudra stamps when they came into the SBB store a little while ago, and decided to stamp and colour them up as a set of six cards - making two of each design.

I stamped the image on blending card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured with copic markers - just 2 or 3 greens for the leaves and 2 or 3 pinks for the flower - it needed to be kept simple I thought.  A rounded stitched rectangle adds to the finish, and a strip of coordinating washi tape and the sentiment that is included in this little stamp (stamped in Versafine back) is all that is required.  I'm sure you can see how clear the sentiments stamp - these stamps are of excellent quality.

The three stamps I used are listed in the products below, and although one is currently out of stock, I'm sure they will be back - just leave your contact details and you will be emailed when they arrive.

As I mentioned, I have made these into a little set of cards, making two of each design, plus envelopes.  I made them in a smaller than usual size - 3.5" x 5" - sometimes called 4-bar.

To make the 'box' for these cards, I used my envelope punch board.  I wanted the depth of the side to be about 3/4" to allow room for 6 cards and envelopes, so chose 8.25" x 8.25" as my paper size.  I punched and scored at 3.3/8 then at 4" - rotated 180 degrees and repeated.  Then turning to the remaining sides, I matched up the pointer with the lines scored.  At the bottom of the envelope, I trimmed up one side of the little rectangles to create a flap to adhere to both sides.  At the top, I trimmed these flaps out completely.  It is a little difficult to get a close fit, but I'm quite happy with this measurement.  I covered the front with pattern paper - Avery Elle Sorbet collection was my choice - and added a die cut I bought from SBB a year or so ago.

Thanks so much for visiting today, and I hope you find some time to enjoy crafting yourself!
